Lafayette Physical Therapy, Inc. been an established private practice in the community for over 42 years. We provide rehabilitation and wellness including orthopedics, sports and geriatric rehabilitation to a diverse clientele. Our therapists are trained in a variety of disciplines including Australian manual therapy, McKenzie approach, Gary Gray, PNF, sports training, Pilates, Myofascial Release and Craniosacral therapy. We have two locations in Lafayette – the main location on Mt. Diablo Blvd., and our sister location – Bay Area Physical Therapy on Moraga Rd.
We are looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to join our skilled team. Position assists physical therapy practice in patient care, clinic duties, and to help the clinic run efficiently and effectively. Position works with multiple full/part time Physical Therapists and other Physical Therapy Aides. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the medical field, especially for students applying to Physical Therapy or other related degree programs.
Responsibilities to Include:
– Assist in the flow of patients in and out of the clinic
– Assist in modality setups including: heat/ice, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, light therapy, and traction.
– Under the supervision of the Therapist, assist with therapeutic exercises and instruction.- Inform therapists of patient responses to treatment
*Maintain appropriate levels of stock and supplies.
*Maintain the clinic in a clean and orderly fashion including: Cleaning and prepping rooms and treatment tables, and equipment, minor other housekeeping tasks such as dusting, laundry, etc, stocking forms for clinic use, Filing.
*Adherence to HIPAA Privacy Regulations
*Attend staff meetings and in-services regularly.
*Adaptability in performing various tasks and remaining flexible
*Speed, accuracy, and volume of work accomplished
*Willingness to remain flexible and take direction
*Performance of required duties
*Communication with patients, staff, and management
*Must have taken a minimum of one anatomy, physiology, or kinesiology class in high school or college. Must have good understanding of posture and muscle groups.
*High School Diploma/GED required. Current or planned enrollment to pursue a degree in a related clinical field is a plus.Bachelors Degree in related field a plus.
*Previous experience in a related clinical setting beneficial, but not necessary.
*Experience with modality setups listed above is beneficial but not necessary.
*Personal Training Certification, Pilates Certification or other fitness certification a big plus but not necessary
*Good customer service skills
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
*Good communication skills
*Ability to take direction and follow-through with tasks
*Ability to be self directed when necessary while strictly adhering to task priority and relevance.
*Ability to judge good body mechanics is necessary
Starting Pay Rate:
$11/hr starting rate. Voluntary Ladder program to acquire additional skills and wage increases up to $14/hour.

Our office is open Monday — Thursday 7am — 7:30pm, and Fridays 7am — 5:30pm
Occasional Saturday Rotation may be required
